how about bruce springsteen's "the rising", didn't obama use that at some
point in his campagn?

i might be totally wrong since i've only seen it mentioned on a quiz show
and it might have been a satyrical dig or something.

but i like that song and i think it's about hope after darkness and hurt,
so imo it would be a good choice. unless there's a more negative meaning
to it which escapes me.
