An Amber Alert remains in effect for Hudson's 7-year-old nephew, Julian King. King is black and has brown eyes and black hair. He is 5 feet tall and weighs 135 pounds. [PHOTO] Earlier in the day, police said they suspected that King was with Balfour in a white Chevy Suburban with license plate: X58-4859 or a teal or green Chrysler Concord with a temporary license plate, a left headlight hanging out and scratches on the left side of the vehicle. Public records indicate the Suburban is registered to Jason Hudson and the home where the slayings occurred as one of Balfour's previous addresses. Court records show Balfour pleaded guilty in 1999 to attempted murder and vehicular hijacking. He also was convicted in a 1998 case of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, the records show. This is so sad. This has really been on my mind all night, I can't imagine what Jennifer is going through. They say that not only is the little boy missing, but so is her sister, Julia, the suspect's estranged wife. This should be a lesson learned to all of those women that "want a soldier." It's not cool putting your family in harm's way just because you settled for a thug in your life. I pray to God that Jennifer's nephew and sister return safe and unharmed. | |

They are reporting that the little boy is 5 feet tall and ways 135 lbs. He's only 7 years old. I can't imagine a 7 yr old being that big and tall. Wait he pleaded guilty to a 1999 attempted and hes out? What does an attempt to murder someoene get you nowadays 5 minutes in jail? If you file bankruptcy its on your record and you cant get a loan for at least 7-10 years, but if you plead guilty to murder youre out and about. I was checking out his MySpace of the suspect that was posted in here and went to Julia's but when I went to hers it said last login today? Maybe someone else logged in on her MySpace? I felt weird checking them out though. EDIT: It also appeared that "she" changed her mood to "numb" (or something similar cuz its in dutch for me) and also accepted a friend's request. I just saw some coverage on CNN about this and there sounds like there's a lot of open ends here. They were referring to the husband as a 'person of interest' when I thought he was a suspect unless that's the tactic the police are using. The FBI has also been called in to possibly deal with the fact that the child may have been taken across state lines altho there's no evidence of that yet. The whole thing is just disturbing. theres alot they still dont know, they have mentioned everything from a "gang tie" to a falling out between the husband and the family (mother and brother) and him just going crazy and murdering them and taking off. Police arrested William Balfour, 27, last night in Chicago. Balfour’s mother, Michelle, said her son had been married to Hudson’s sister, Julia, 29, for several years, but they were separated. She also said Donerson had ordered him to move out of the family’s home last winter. A relative found the body of Darnell Donerson, 57, lying on her living room floor around 2:45 PM yesterday. Police arriving on the scene found the body of Jason Hudson, 27, in a bedroom of the home he shared with his mother. Both victims had been shot multiple times. The front door was unlocked. Police made several arrests last night but no one has been charged in the case according to law enforcement sources who spoke to the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times. Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said investigators were talking to “a number of people in custody” but she declined to elaborate. The whereabouts of Julia Hudson’s 7-year-old son, Julian King, is still unknown. An Amber Alert was issued for Julian yesterday. They also have other siblings on their father's side I wonder if Julian ran away during the shooting and is hiding somewhere I don't understand what attracts women to thugs. Looking at the guy, he seems dangerous. I know you're not supposed to judge people by the way they look, but sometimes you have to look at the signs. Maybe she loved the attention he gave her and wasn't getting it from anyone else. The police are being very careful because of the last incident not too long ago where they arrested a guy for shooting and killing two police officers and said he was guilty, and he wasn't the guy. CHICAGO, Illinois (CNN) -- The sister of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson made an emotional appeal Saturday for the safe return of her 7-year-old son, who disappeared after a double shooting Friday on Chicago's South Side.
Authorities reportedly are questioning William Balfour in connection with the shooting deaths. "All I ask, I don't care who you are, just let my baby go, please," Julia Balfour, Hudson's sister, said at a news conference Saturday night. "I just want my son." Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, were shot to death Friday in their home. The child, Julian King, has been missing since. Hudson was said to be in Chicago on Saturday night but did not attend the news conference. The missing child's father, Greg King, attended but did not speak publicly. Earlier Saturday, Julia Balfour's mother-in-law said that police had questioned her son, William Balfour, in the slayings. Michele Davis-Balfour insisted that her son had nothing to do with the shootings and urged the public to focus on finding the missing boy. "Out of no means did my son do this. Julian is described as being 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a striped brown polo shirt and khaki pants when last seen, authorities said in the Amber Alert. Chicago police spokesman Daniel O'Brien would not comment on whether a William Balfour was in custody or whether police had questioned a man by that name. "Police have and continue to speak with numerous" people, O'Brien said. He said no charges had been filed against anyone in connection with the murders. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Balfour, 27, is on parole. He spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle. His MySpace page also says he lives on Chicago's South Side. Deputy Police Chief Joseph Patterson said the bodies were found about 3 p.m. Friday (4 p.m. ET), when a relative arrived and found the body of a woman on the living room floor. The relative backed out of the house and called police, Patterson said. Authorities found a man shot to death in a bedroom. The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said Saturday that Donerson and Jason Hudson suffered multiple gunshot wounds and ruled the deaths homicides. The FBI is working with Chicago police to find Julian, Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis said. There is no evidence that the boy has been taken across state lines, which would make the abduction a federal offense. The action is being taken as a precaution because it would be possible to cross state lines in the amount of time the boy has been missing, he said. Neighbors reported hearing gunshots earlier Friday, Patterson said. Authorities found no signs of forced entry to the home and were not sure whether other items were missing. No...I drove by the District 2 police station today on S Wentworth and there were FoxNews/Channel 7/WGN news vans just parked outside waiting for any news. I take it Mr. Balfour is still there. A friend of mine told me he saw Jennifer Hudson there last night. I don't understand how no one knows where the little boy is. I'd be insane if that were my child. I just saw them talking to a neigbor of the victims, and he said that the stepfather said "if you keep messing with me, im going to kidnap the child". Ok so now you have someone that has confessed to "attempted murder" had other felony convictions and now threatened to kidnap a child and no one even alerted Police to this.
