THE Most Positive Song Madonna Ever Recorded Is HERE: Spotlight, shine bright Tonight, spotlight No one knows you better than you know yourself Do the thing you want don't wait for someone else Life is just a party that's all you need to know It's your turn to shine baby let yourself go Everybody is a star Everyone is special in their own way So you set your goals high and go far Don't put off tomorrow what you can do today Spotlight, open up your eyes and see Spotlight, shining out for you and me Spotlight, this world is yours and mine Spotlight, this is your chance to shine Don't stand in the corner waiting for the chance Make your own music, start your own dance When you feel the rhythm, I'll be by your side Now you have the power baby love is on your side Everybody wants to shine Don't stand in the sideline, step into the light But it's got to come from inside Listen to your heart and step into the Spotlight, open up your eyes and see Spotlight, shining out for you and me Spotlight, this world is yours and mine Spotlight, this is your chance to shine Don't be afraid to fall I'll hear you when you call And I'll be right here by your side Don't be afraid to try [Edited 10/22/08 7:32am]

I think THIS is an extended version. The tempo is a tad slower, but with extra lyrics:

No Like A Prayer is imo. Although Spotlight is a good song.... This is more related to "Sidewalk Talk" that she did with Jellybean Johnson.
When you're living on the street Life can be full of misery Find a place 2 call your own Make your heart in2 a home U can do it [Edited 10/22/08 7:43am] Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Ah, Madonna's 80's singles. As much as I really love her 90's (and beyond) work, there's just something about her 80's stuff that puts a smile on my face. It's all so positive. Her belief in hard work, determination, and believing in yourself really shines through.
And she really sings the shit out of them! Right from the bottom of her guts. None of this half-asse trained vocals business that we've been getting for the last 10 years. I really liked that gut-wrenching torch singer vibe she had going on before some idiot went and taught her how to sing.

"Ain't No Big Deal" could get some votes. That being said, "Spotlight" is exactly the song that popped into my head when I read the thread title. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
