More Hendrix Crap. Did you know that he could play equally well with either hand? Also he was once found in his dressing room listening to Jeff Beck and wondering how he managed to sound like he did. And three, his favourite guitarist was Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top).

Everybody has a hero. I heard his favourite guitarist was Chicago's Terry Kath, maybe I'm mistaken. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan

Everybody has a hero. I heard his favourite guitarist was Chicago's Terry Kath, maybe I'm mistaken. Guitarist mag has quoted it a few times. Not to say they don't get things wrong either. Not that it really matters either way.

So out of Prince and Nuno Bettencourt? I know that's an obvious one. Nuno wipes the floor with poor old Prince on that one. Different league of player altogether.
Now as for Extreme v Prince, well that would be unfair.

I read that Jimi gave Billy G a pink Strat after a night of "feedback painting". Bily's a great guitarist too.
I also heard from the Funkadelic guys that Jimi was a fan of them and wanted to record with them. That blew me away when I heard that.

Nuno may be more technically skilled, but he's a huge Prince fan. I saw them back in 89 and Gary Cherone came out wearing a "Dirty Mind" t-shirt. They also played the ending of "Purple Rain" and Nuno killed it.
