LL Cool J - Around the Way Girl It's been like what 20 years since that song came out?
Anyway... I just noticed in the second chorus, halfway through, LL tries to pull a Prince and says "To the Bridge!" Well, he never goes to the bridge. He stays in the chorus and then onto the next verse. The bridge never comes. | |

I'm sure it was james Brown that used 'take it to the bridge'.

Can't believe the song is that old! Timeless track even if the references might be dated. The beat is still solid (thanks to Rick James and the Mary Jane Girls as well). Easily one of LL's best hits. | |
