Remixes That Are Better Than The Original

What are some remixes that you think were superior to the original song?

One of my faves

Mariah feat. Joe & Nas Thank God I Found You (Make It list). This remix is much better to me than the original. The original was so cheesy. Mariah's remixes are almost always good though, she's one of the few artists to me who actually puts some effort into her remixes.

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Ya know I love this, but no way is it better than the original.

A case could be made for the "Hey Jupiter (Dakota Mix)" though.

Nothing beats the original for me.

Anyway, there are too many to name. Teddy Riley was the king of this for a while: "Spend the Night," "Don't Wanna Fall in Love," "D-O-G Me Out"...

Madonna - "Love Profusion" (Headcleanr Rock Mix)
Bjork - "All Is Full Of Love" (video version, although i understand that it's actually he original and the album version is a remix)
Bjork - "Alarm Call" (radio mix)
Janet Jackson - "Black Cat" (video version)
George Michael - "Star People '97"
Whitney Houston - "It's Not Right But It's Okay" (Thunderpuss remix)
The KLF - "Justified And Ancient" (Stand by the JAMs - featuring Tammy Wynette)
Mariah Carey - "Heartbreaker" (remix)

and almost every extended 12" version/remix of a Prince song.

Niiice. Never heard that remix before. I never payed much attention to Kylie as a performer though but that was pretty good. I'm suprised.

I know people disagree with this, but Erykah Badu's Bag Lady

The mellow album version is cool, but I love the remix.

I also prefer the "Cheeba Sac Remix" of Bag Lady

Still one day hope to find the CD single again. I used to pass over it 7-8 years ago.
