Not a big country fan, but I love a comeback story.
This guy/Hootie and the Blowfish fell off the face of the earth more or less, now he re-invented himself. Former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker scores his first No. 1 on Hot Country Songs as "Don't Think I Don't Think About It" leaps 3-1. The artist's Capitol Nashville country debut, "Learn To Live," opened at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 yesterday. [Edited 9/25/08 19:34pm]

You're right, most of the songs could have been at least a minute or two shorter. But I still really like the album. I'm absolutely in love with the New Metallica album. I've been disappointed with my latest purchases of ol' school music in my collection (Portishead, NIN) and it was refreshing to hear Metallica bring it back to those crazy time-signature arrangements, heavy cymbal crashes and Hettfield with a much better voice. It's a really, really good album.
