Yuzo kashiro

As anyone heard of Yuzo Kashiro?

Yuzo Kashiro is a genius. Listen to Ninja Step. I hope YouTube works for you.

My favourite pieces of his work are:

From THE REVENGE OF SHINOBI

- "Ninja Step" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...9KNtAeXfQo - You'll keep dancing to this one, you'll not want to stop.
- "Sunrise Boulevard" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...GNAKMEt8s4
- "The Shinobi" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...RNep2MFvDY
- "Make Me Dance" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...edmL23ThVA

From STREETS OF RAGE
The songs off this game were off the richter scale. WOW.
- "Round 8" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...j0ZLGDjMNI
- "Round 5" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...7kW6sSoe_c - Some Mission Impossible kind'a stuff. Imagine, playing the game and dancing about in front of the TV trying to get all the bad guys, until it breaks down into that funkiness midway of the song's loop. The lops about 2 minutes so it's a whole song in itself.

From STREETS OF RAGE II (Yuzo worked with Motohiro Kawashima)

- "In The Bar" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...E90tnTUqOE
- "Spin on the Bridge" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...nQMZlAh1gM - This song is hectic. Music like this was seeping into the cracks of London's underground for a while.
- "The Theme Tune" - http://www.youtube.com/wa...yPTQbLyxXc

From SONIC THE HEDGEHOG II
Contrary to what I believed before, Prince released the Sonic the Hedge Hog sounding segment of the Glam Slam Remix version in 1988 before the actual game came out in 1991. The segment of Glam Slam with the Sonic the Hedgehog II sounding part is just after the 6 minute mark, and lasts for no more than 4 measures. It sounds like it is from the Chemical Zone. Maybe Yuzo listened to Prince, rather than the other way around.

Does anyone know about this?

- "Chemical Zone" - You'll see what I mean. http://www.youtube.com/wa...LYB7iLZNWE

It's not the kind of 'mimimal techno' I am into. The beats are too uninteresting to me and it indeed sounds as if it's straight from a game.

It's the kind of music I turn off if it is featured on a game.

This is kind of techno I love, by Ellen Allien & Apparat, all links to YouTube audio of their Orchestra Of Bubbles, together with The Knife's Silent Shout, this album still rocks my world.
