sidenote: I love Prince like everybody else. But he can't be rated one of the best singers ever, because he doesn't have what singers call a good "mid Voice". Prince doesn't sound "pretty" until he goes into his falsetto. IMO.  | |

My favorite male singer is probably Ted 'Wizard' Mills (... although if you ask me the same question again tomorrow, you might get a different answer  )
I rarely listen to female singers so, I don't really know who my favorite is. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Greatest of all time? Wow, that's pretty hard, but my personal choices are:
Female Patti LaBelle -- It's Patti! She's still the best there is. 
Stephanie Mills Shanice -- Her range is outstanding and her vocal control is absolutely amazing to me. 
Male Luther Vandross -- Hands down, no competition for me. That man's voice can still make me cry, it's soo beautiful. 
*I always cry on this song...beautiful lyrics with that mesmerizing voice. *
