what's this "Gospeldelic" and where can I hear it? I always thought "Gospeldelic" was one of the many imprints under his label Pookie, Gospeldelic, Whiskey Slew etc etc because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

OK, can someone check the actual disc? doesn't it say Gospeldelic on it? that's what I've always called this album and it is fucking trash. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

"Gospeldelic" is just an imprint/novelty label even though they got it stamped on the front cover for the vinyl album... all big & stuff LOL IMHO Instant Vintage is the classic among the bunch this new record is not really even him if you get what I'm sayin... it's good, but it's more of a novelty album I guess he felt the need to show Amy Winehouse "how to do this hun" I don't know... Ray Ray wasn't bad, but there weren't any real standouts like on the former. From what I've heard so far of the new album, I may like it the most of all three studio albums. I saw him live last month here in NYC and the show was great, but I don't think he did any songs from Ray Ray. DO. NOT. BOTHER. It's the worst self indulgence put to wax Isn't self-indulgence one of the traits of a 'genius' anyway? Wow you guys really hate that album

thanx ya'll
in SupaFunky's defense I will say this, I've never got the urge to hear Instant Vintage all the way through (in one listen) I've done that maybe twice... I always have to hear sections of it and then onto the next album still doesn't take away from the greatness though because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

Wow.....He got grammy nods off "Instant Vintage". "Ray Ray" isn't that bad. It's some tight joints off of there " Live w/o u, detroit girl, rifle love, chic vibe(tight bassline), i want u back w/teedra moses. It's not much different from instant vintage.

it goes without saying that "Save Us" is my favorite from there (I did my own interpolation of it on my lates project... called "The Taste (All Day Lollipops)") "Live Without You" is great too I love it when the beat changes and everything Teedra touched was good and then my Dawny showed up for "Rifle Love" damn! am I gonna have to do a compare/contrast with InstantV & RayRay btw... I found The Way I See It on vinyl today online... I won't say where cuz it's dirt cheap and I wanna get it LMFAO [Edited 9/15/08 19:39pm] because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

... Whew.... That is all. He did press for it yesterday on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, it's phenominal . Unfortunately, since I live overseas the release date will be much later for me

Yeah i dug his retro style on that album better than the motownesque mood that he's in now. IMO i just think the al green/curtis mayfield mode is more his speed than the motown mode. Don't laugh at my funk

I always liked the Still Ray song and it helps that my name is Ray but the video for that song was cheap is hell. It looked like saadiq shot the video behind an old abandoned malt liquor store around crenshaw blvd. Ahhh here it goes Don't laugh at my funk
