Album Of The Year Picks (1982-2002)

Buenos Dias Orgers,

What are your picks for album of the year from the last 20 years? This may take some time as you recollect your thoughts about all the albums you have purchased and listened to over the 20 year time span. It will be interesting hearing your album picks of the years. NOTE: During the 80's I wasn't into jazz of deeply as I now or else some of the album of the year picks would have been jazz releases. Thus, I am laying these album of the year picks according to genres of music I was into AT THAT TIME.

As an added bonus I will throw in my picks for the year 1980 and 1981...

1995 Album Of The Year: Rachelle Ferrell-First Instrument in a tie with Pat Metheny Group's We Live Here...I feel so GUILTY for leaving this album by my favorite female vocalist of the last 10 years. This album is stellar from beginning to end{also my pick as one of the best 25 jazz records of all time}. I knew I was going to leave off some obvious choices.
