Where do you live in the UK? It was at the front of all the stores on the day it was out in London. There was even instore promotions with the album playing in Zavvis and HMVs. Still stalled at 63 in the chart.

I live in Manchester City Centre. Day of release I went to Zavvi, nothing there, same at Fopp and Tesco (gotta love Tesco haha). It wasn't anywhere in the new releases section or chart in HMV, they had a handful of copies hidden away with the rest of her catalogue in the alphabetical section.

it wasn't in woolworths either - only HMV from what i remember.

I wasn't talking about twigs! And I'm a man, so don't you girl tell me what I'm supposed to be attracted too! I'm more attracted to the more sporty toned Janet of the AFY tour! The current outfit with her current body looks kinda awful! It's still Janet though and I still like her, but she's doing herself a disservice with that outfit!

when janet was more toned, her body was really skniny and less feminine. Now she has some meat on her bones and looks awesome.

I don´t like the outfit nor the hair. boxed Sorry.

I would like to see the show, though.

comfort I equate the costume (and hair) on the level of Michael’s gold leotard. shake

Sounds like a fun show tho.

I think Come Give Your Love , my personal favorite is too slow for this set list.

Who said I liked that one. I hate that outfit, too. lol
But this one was FINE!

Still copying her brother's gestures and facial expressions I see. hmmm

It'll be interesting to see how she holds up dance wise on this tour given the extra weight she's carrying and her advanced years. By the time Madonna hit her 40s her dancing had become a joke. I wonder if Janet will fare better. She seemed to be dancing pretty much the same last time I saw her.

lol Can't wait to see what TotalAlisa makes of that. lol Still, while all that tackiness is going on, Janet gets to take a breather. That's the real purpose of that routine.

lol The suit looks almost padded. She has a few extra pounds but after a month of this tour they’ll be gone.

My favorite Janet body was during the janet concert. She was toned but not too muscle-y. I don’t mind muscles but they're very hard to maintain and on her frame I think she looked more natural around this point and the outfit was hot.

But that pic is from the AFY tour and I loved the way she looked there... but then again I also loved the way she looked on the VR and janet. tour, even though I didn't like all the clothes on the VR tour!

I thought it was the wrong tour but I couldn’t find the right pics! lol
I like the cream outfit with the big hat. That costume was the hotness! I think she looked her best around.

I’ll never forget when she came out and stood there for like an hour and half just posed. This was before it got redundant and I had the best seats ever.

I ADORE Janet - these pics look amazing. What I wouldn't do to make her come to the UK, but its really not happening after the disasterous way Discipline wasn't publisised or promoted. I remember the day it came out and I couldn't find it anywhere sad *fingers crossed for DVD*

Sorry about your luck with "Discipline". At the very least, it's widely available here in the US. I really hope for a DVD, too and she is coming to my area. The setlist looks pretty awesome and very Janet....mostly greatest hits and the addition of Pre "Control" songs is so awesome. I sort of wish DJ was represented better than 20 YO...I mean, 2 songs for the lesser album (and frankly, lesser songs). How about "Just A Little While", which was a minor hit. That being said, still sounds awesome!

I love Janet and saw most of several of her tours (last one All For You).

This one looks kinda cool from the set list, but is she just lip synching everything except for the ballads? From he clip it sounded practically like the album version of Together Again.

Is the band even playing? If it's really live maybe i'll get tickets.

She sang over backing tracks. For the dancing she is doing, this is perfectly reasonable to me. The ballads were completely live.

It's funny because I listened to her do 4 runthroughs over 2 days and she was singing live for those (no backing). It was pretty easy to tell since she dropped lyrics sometimes, and the tone and inflection was different with each runthrough. Sometimes she would screw up.

Yes, she has live band. The drummer, Lil' John (Jill Scott's fiancee) was particularly impressive. He also played on the janet. and Velvet Rope tours. I spoke with him on Monday night and again at the backstage tour before the show.

See I dont get that. WHy run through it live and then just play backing tracks in the real show???

I don't think there is ever an excuse to lip synch at a concert. Don't dance as much if you can't sing live. Its' not a "video" it's a concert.

And Together Again the music sounded like it was precorded too. you can NEVER get the exact same sounds live as in the studio with a band. And the drums were clearly a drum machine

Because they have a lot of things to contend with during an actual show, primarily crowd noise.

Janet is one of those artists who gives you the whole experience. Would I be interested in seeing her standing in one place singing Miss You Much? Hellz no. So she sings over a backing track while doing the whole dance including the chair routine. I mean, really - every major star who dances has used backing tracks, including Michael Jackson who we all know can sing his ass off live and then some. I can completely understand Janet using backing tracks in the context of the show What I don't understand is someone like Mariah Carey, who just stands there, lip synching her performances.

And Together Again the music sounded like it was precorded too. you can NEVER get the exact same sounds live as in the studio with a band. And the drums were clearly a drum machine

The music at the concert was a mix of live and pre-recorded. Yeah, the band was great, and it was live, but it was not responsible for all of the music.
