Or a list that has Ziggy as the #1 anything. That's okay in my book.

i never thought of liz phair as a gay icon, though i always have thought about her as someone i'd like to sit around with all night, smoking cigarettes and getting drunk on cheap wine whilst talking shit about men for hours. so maybe she IS a gay icon. one of my life goals is to put together a one-man show tribute called "exile in gayville". which would be a gay tribute of a woman tribute of an album of a rolling stones album, which gives me a headache to think about and explains why this goal has yet to be achieved.

wait, what's this thread about again? confused

It's more like she turned into Sheryl Crow, who I don't mind at all. But we've already got one. We didn't need another. Well Tracy might. But I don't.

>>>asking each to list the 10 albums that left the most indelible impressions on their lives<<<

shrug

shes was snubbed by her peers!

it is an american magazine.

but Fever, and Light Years are super gay!

I was going to say it was Americans and most of them are old (I can't imagine Bruce Vilanach listening to Kylie). But "Fever" was a hit here...but it was newer.

I think I have 22. So is that 22%?...that's mostly cause I just can't buy everything I really want, too and in several cases, I have those artists hits sets...I'm shocked I still don't own some of the "lesbian" albums like Sarah McLachlan's "Fumbling" and Tracy Chapman's. Tracy's debut was "gay"....I know she is a lesbian but don't ruin the surprise...unless "Fast Car" was about a chick...Am I dense? smile

87 Madonna - Confessions On A Dance Floor
86 Madonna - Madonna
82 Cher - Believe
75 Carole King - Tapestry
72 Donna Summer - Once Upon a Time
68 Nirvana - Nevermind
63 Björk - Debut
58 Liz Phair - Exile in Guyville
57 Prince - Dirty Mind
54 Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
46 Madonna - Ray of Light
44 Pet Shop Boys - Very
43 Prince - Purple Rain
42 ABBA - Gold
40 Pet Shop Boys - Behavior
36 Madonna - Erotica
34 Donna Summer - Bad Girls
30 Diana Ross - Diana
29 Pet Shop Boys - Actually
21 David Bowie - Hunky Dory
08 Madonna - The Immaculate Collection
01 David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars

Nirvana "Nevermind" and the Beatles "Sgt. Pepper..."...those are just on every listen at this point!
