He's one of my absolute musical heroes, and it's so refreshing to have something current from him that feels vital, exciting and alive. This is the most hyped I've been about him in years. The new albums' been out overseas since July, but he's finally sticking his neck out here in the States with a U.S. release, late night tv appearances and a club tour. Anybody feeling the new album "Knowle West Boy"?  How did I miss this thread?!

Tricky is one of those artists for me that I will purchase a CD of farts if he released it I was less than thrilled with Blowback, although I have gone back and found some enjoyment even with that stupid ass scrappy dude and I was disappointed with that last album with that costanza chick.
In Tricky's "Back to Mine" he previewed a song with her on it and called her his musical soul mate and I was like OMG if Martina wasn't his soulmate but this chick is, this has to be the bomb. Nope. No star fucking this time. It really worked on "Nearly God", but really backfired on "Blowback". This time, it's all fresh talent that he's discovered. And they're all a good fit with his music. There are at least 6 or more vocalists. | |
