His last three albums have been pretty mainstream-sounding moody rock / triphop hybrid stuff. Hell Blowback had even Alanis Morissette and the RHCP on it. Vulnerable was very (read: too) easy at least on my ears. I have to give this new one a listen - and you know under the influence of what.

I don't hate the more recent records - there's some good stuff in there too - but I'd take Angels With Dirty Faces over them anyday.

At the last minute I took one of his songs from his new album off my mixtape in order to keep Taxi on there. He is one of a kind and brilliant. So happy you got to see him. God, he seriously needs to put out a live album. He has so many songs that are only performed in concerts and old familiar ones that are so radically altered that they might as well be new. This one's listed as "The Moment I Feared", but the music is only barely related and the lyrics are completely changed.
So hot! | |

I haven't really listened to this latest release yet, this because I have given up on Tricky a long time ago as I am sure he won't release anything like 'MaxinQuaye' or 'Nearly God' anymore, unfortunately!

You might like the new one then. It's easily the most ear friendly album he's made that still is interesting in a long time.
