Remake the James Brown Band!! This could be fun ...
We all know Mr. Dynamite James Brown had the hottest show in town with his Revue of band members, singers and what not. Sso everyone, use your music knowledge and try to recreate the James Brown Band. But here is the thing, you can't use any of his former band members. So know Maceo, Fred, Pee-Wee, Bobby, Clyde, Bootsy, Cheech, ect. You gotta use other musicians to back of the Godfather of Soul. The Famous Flames - - - The James Brown Orchestra (The J.B.'s) -Drums: -Drums: -Lead Guitar: -Rhythm Guitar: -Bass Guitar: -Organ/Keyboard: -Congas: -Saxophone: -Saxophone: -Trumpet: -Trumpet: -Trombone: -Trombone: PRINCE: Always and Forever

Rather than simply pick my favorite players, these are a few of the musicians that I believe would be able to interpret the style proplerly and actually play together without incident. I also stuck with cats that i'm pretty sure are still alive.
The Flames... - Al Green - Solomon Burke - Bobby Womack The Band... -Drums: Bernard "Pretty" Purdie -Drums: Ricky Lawson -Lead Guitar: Jean-Paul Bourelly -Rhythm Guitar: Paul Jackson Jr. -Bass Guitar: Marcus Miller -Organ/Keyboard: Alan Evans -Congas: Armando Peraza -Saxophone: Emilio Castillo -Saxophone: Dennis Thomas -Trumpet: Christian Scott -Trumpet: Michael Ray -Trombone: Louis Satterfield -Trombone: James Pankow Nice exercise. Similar to one done some years ago without the JB stipulation: http://prince.org/msg/8/101098 tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Just saw Rev Al again on Saturday night. Believe me, he can get all the way down. I've never seen Solomon Burke or Bobby Womack live, but the way their voices sound on record, it would seem like a nice trio of soul-shouters. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
