Yeah it is becoming clear there was no lawsuit. The writing credits have remained the same.


So if you claim to be a big fan of a band, you can just steal their melody and put new words on it? razz

Jam and Lewis must have the best lawyers LOL

This one even pays homage to the sample through the opening lines.






Both are great songs, with the latter being a classic. No songwriting credits to Kansas though. It may be of interest to a few that Robin Thicke co-wrote this with Knight/Jam/Lewis.

Knight got sued for alot less by Percy Sledge over Tommy Page's "I'll be your everything" (he co-wrote it, and wrote the bulk of the melody). Knight and co won that case, not sure if they would win this one.
