Ohh my young ingnorant friend. I guess you can't teach a retarded dog new tricks so we will just leave it where its at. It is obvious you are in fact Too Short's Biaaatch so there is no use in trying. I would in fact think you were Too Short if it weren't for the fact that you actually sound educated. It is apparent that neither of us are going to lose any ground in our arguments so cheers to you.
As far as not knowing Yay Area rap, I am going to just leave you in the sweet bliss of your own little world. Having lived all over the Bay including San Francisco, Fairfield, San Jose, San Leandro, I think I am pretty well versed in Bay Area Hip Hop especially E-40, The Federation, Keak Da Sneak and the like, having lived most of my adolescence in the 707. So we will let sleeping dogs lie. However I do think there are some individuals in the Org who may need to take those classes.

lol Did $hort dog steal ya ho, playa?!?!?! Dayum! Why you so salty over this cat? He took ya lunch money? Did he bang moms - in front of you? And did you REALLY say that since you "lived all over the Bay area" that means you know Hip Hop? spit spit spit - That HAS to be the 3rd most ridiculous shit I've read this week, 2nd ONLY to your comment comparing 2 Live Crew and Kanye and then foolishly and uneducatedly saying that Mint Condition and Shai had THE SAME SOUND! lol

Look, son, I can cut you a deal: I can offer you a discount price for the 1st semester and I can teach you Hip Hop ONLY up until the mid 90s but for anything further, you're gonna have to pay full price. Oh, and there are online classes as well evillol.

("I lived all around the Bay area, so that means I HAVE to know Hip Hop. Right?") lol

But yeah, we will certainly agree to disagree and be done with it. Good "give and take" though, dawg. thumbs up!

MuthaFunka C'mon man! You can't be serious! You want to teach classes and yet you can't even read. You questioned my knowledge of Yay area rap and I simply stated that you have underestimated my Yay affiliation. It's not your fault though, you clearly were not breast fed as a baby. Stay off the Similac!

And if you payed attention to the Kanye/Crew reference you would realize that was an example of YOUR retarded comment that Too Short paved the way for Tupac and Digital Underground. I am glad to see that you know how outrageous that comment was!

I am not being Salty towards Too Shit, just stating the obvious. Too Shit is probably one of the WHACKEST rapper to hit the game, and yet we are honoring him! I guess in the end it all makes sense. Your riding the short bus and Too Shit is driving. I can see why your defending him.

spit Dude! Stop frontin'! You mentioned that you've lived all around the Yay and so that is supposed to make you KNOWLEDGEABLE on the region. WRONG. It doesn't. You know what it makes you? A RESIDENT! spit

And also, STOP it with the ridiculous ass Kanye/2 Live Crew mess. THAT'S when you immediately lost ALL credibility! What grades did you get in geography? Kanye = Mid-west...Luke Campbell = Southeast. HUGE difference, son! HUGE! lol

Now - I'm NOW offering an 8-week Hip Hop course. But that's as LIMITED as I can go before I have to start calling it the "Remedial Hip Hop For The Disadvantaged"! evillol

Once again:

Too Short = Tupac, Digital Underground = Ridiculous
2 Live Crew = Kanye West = Ridiculous

You just made my point for me! Hopefully breaking it down with symbols make it a little easier to understand, but probably not, since the = makes it look like a math problem.

Whooaa.....Stop counting on your fingers and toes... You don't actually have to add anything. Those =s are just visual aids.

AAAAWWWW, Shit I think I lost you again!

(this is never going to end is it?)

Now for ONCE we agree:

2 Live Crew = Kanye West = Ridiculous

COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS to even TRY and connect that ig'nant shit! lol

But yeah, this will go on forever, but at least we agree on one other thing besides the ridiculousness of trying to compare 2 Live with Knaye...

You DO admit and agree that you DEFINITELY need to take my summer course of "Hip Hop 101: What is Rap?" - evillol

Peace out, yo! lol

And always remember - Kanye was from the Midwest and 2 Live Crew was from the Southeast! thumbs up!

Off the top of my head I count 4 hits: O.P.P, Hip-Hop Hooray, Uptown Anthem (not a big fan of that one), Ghetto Bastard. There's probably a couple of others but I'm drawing a blank. Pioneering doesn't mean a whole lot if you don't make good music-- Jungle Brothers. lol De La was cool but last time I checked Midnight Marauders was a Tribe album. You and the purists can have your "pioneers". Quite often those that do something first don't do it best. Somebody usually comes along with the benefit of perspective and building on what's already been done, makes it better. It's cool to come up with an idea but those that can put it into practice are the ones deserving of the lionshare of the praise.
[Edited 8/17/08 23:04pm]

Uptown Anthem and Ghetto Bastard weren't hits. Regionally? Maybe. But not like their 2 real hits.

And that's your opinion if you don't think the JBs made good music, or it's your lack of knowledge on either them or Hip Hop in general, which I believe it's in fact the latter. But again, it IS about pioneering, no matter who came after them and blew it up better.

lol I'm not gonna go there. At any rate I'll take a group with 2 hits over a group that couldn't distinguish themselves outside of their own neighborhood. I didn't say pioneers shouldn't get any praise. I said a majority of the praise belongs to the better artists.... and yes, that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. biggrin

She should be honored for being a hip-hop legend who actually used her career to get an education. Many of today's MC's have a hard time even speaking the language beyond the scope of 16 bars.

You give 'em credit for too many bars.

Well, I can be a generous soul. Sometimes. lol
