P Diddy: What do u think of him? I caught a few moments of his latest TV show where people are trying out 2 become his assistant. P Diddy does NOT impress me in any way, shape or form. I don't get it or him. What do u guys think of him?

A pimp in a million dollar suit.

I think he's a rat in a suit. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Hell, he's a shit hopper ain't he? I see him the same as I see all the rest of them....no talent trash. Andy is a four letter word.

Hey! That was MY response! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Can't stand the little rat bastard... "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I don't hate him personally, but he's even less talented than most shitty performers & producers. He's got to be one of the luckiest bastards on the planet. I guess he works hard to be where he is, but has no talent real that I can see. Maybe he's a stylish guy, he can pick trends?
I don't know, but he's given the world nothing as far as I'm concerned. My Legacy

Hey! That was MY response! Mine, too. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

The only song I ever really liked of his was I'll Be Missing You. Sucks it's a cover but I like that he turned a rather dark song into something really meaningful.
I don't think he's THAT horrible a person as people like to make out and I was impressed when he competed in that marathon a few years back. I'd say most are just jealous of his success and money.

I think he's a master of tapping into a good loop, he's a good used car sales man that worked that talent into profitting off of creative people's works.
He's not a pimp... just a rich hustler/thief. Oh... and is it just me or did he get rich off of Biggie's death? [Edited 8/11/08 20:42pm]

Damn! Why all the hate! I love P. Diddy. he is the one of the baddest A&R men of all time. He can dance. He knows how to put on a great performance. His 2002 VMA performance was the award show performance to end all award show performances. He is a brilliant business man, has an incredible ear for mixing pop with street, has impeccable style and is so confident it's scary. More power to him. I've always loved him. [Edited 8/11/08 21:07pm] I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Well um... he is confident...

As previous folks have said, I don't think of him at all. Those of us who were raised on real music have zero tolerance for Diddy's kittywampus compositions. However, I do have an opinion, and I will give my two cents:
Diddy gets away with murder everytime one of "his" songs are played on the radio. I ain't mad at 'im, cause he makes it work, to the tune of millions of dollars a year, and being able to successfully determine just what racket one is best suited for stands for something.

An opportunist whose only big claim to fame was riding off the dead legs of his biggest-selling artist (Biggie).

Great Promoter - but a Complete Hack!
I watch Making the Band and you see him rippin all these dude for how they sing. The pitch, the tone, etc... THEN In the Finale. Diddy is on there LIP SYNCING a Rap Song????? A Rap Song? I have seen him before on a Award Show Lip Syncing a Rap Song. - That reminds me of Paula Abdul on American Idol who got caught lip syncing - and needed one of the Mary Jane Girls to hit her high notes on her albums.. and now fastforward a decade and she is talking about people's live vocals.

Great promoter? Does anybody remember the incident at City College, here in New York about 15 years ago? Where people were trampled at a concert / basketball game that he put together? He over sold that event and it led to people getting hurt. My cousin was one of the people that was hurt. We talked about it lastnight in fact. She still believe's that if he had not oversold that show, that would never have happened. I remember, that day well. There was announcement on Hot 97 saying that there was no more tickets and that the show was sold out. The next thing I know was that they were still selling tickets at the door. I don't care what ANYBODY says, as a promoter, it is YOUR job to make sure everything goes right, this includes the selling of tickets. The end result was that Puffy was found not at fault. Damn shame.... [Edited 8/12/08 17:13pm] "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Great businessman. | |

diddy's talent is self promotion, thats what he do and he do it very well.some people call him lucky i call him smart and he's an opportunist. badboy was the hottest thing poppin back in the mid-late 90's and diddy recieved most of the fame and glory but played very little role in the actual music,he surrounds himself with the right people, then he usualy cheats them out of money and hires a new set of behind the scenes talent.

he's a great business man but I don't take him seriously as a musician. He's in it for the money.

He will retain as one of the most famous black men in the industry....even tho his Making the Band spinoffs havent gone oh so well, I do like the productions that have came out of Day 26 and Danity Kane's last album.
Puffy is always going for the gold and keeps us watching him no matter what he does, and throws the baddest parties a city has ever seen....not like I was invited. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I think he's really, really blessed with good fortune. It absolutely ends there. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I think he's unorganized. Especially from watching those making the band shows on MTV. The only time I find it entertaining is when somebody get smart with his ass and show him that aren't afraid of him. I think he's just a little bitch with money. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Damn shame.... Yes. I remember. That is what soured me completely on this guy, I don't care how many marathons he runs. He was a New York hustler, around the way kid, with no talent other than the hustle. He attached himself to Biggie Smalls like a fly on ish and rode the man's tragedy all the way to the rich house. Let him do Broadway and all that other nonsense. He can't sing, he can't dance worth a damn, he can't act, and he sure hasn't set the world on fire with his rapping. Sean Jean, mi culo. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

I think that the sad truth in this world is that often the most successful people are not the most talented or the most intelligent. They are people who are just smart enough, very persistent, and very lucky. Tom Cruise, Sean Combs, Justin Timberlake, George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Oprah, Madonna... My Legacy
