Next to Careless Whisper, the only other song I liked.
Freedom, was ok but I never miss it. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

My fave line from this song:
"If my best isn't good enough, Than how can it be good enough for two?" "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

Same here. This song had a Jam & Lewis sound to it, which is what caught my attention. Especially the "won't you tell me" part. Very S.O.S. band.

and now you tell me that you're having my baby I'll tell you that I'm happy if you want me to

This beats out "Freedom" and "Careless Whisper" as my favorite Wham! song. I can't get enough of it. The extended version is just perfect.
BTW, y'all mentioned both of my favorite lines: And now you tell me that you're having my baby I'll tell you that I'm happy if you want me to But one step further and my back will break If my best isn't good enough Then how can it be good enough for two? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I think that manic part of I Feel For You was an inspiration for ESW. It's not my Wham! or George Michael favorite but it's great! It gives the Make It Big album a lot of weight!

I love this song, but I always wonder why no one talks about Freedom from the Wham album, that's my favourite track on it along with Careless Whisper.

Thanks, this is a FANTASTIC song. The bass line is one of the best, and I agree about the line, ""If my best isn't good enough,
Than how can it be good enough for two?" VERY mature song for someone so young.

Freedom is fantastic! But it's not as deep as ESW!!

I just mentioned "Freedom." It's my 2nd favorite Wham! song. Again, the long version is where it's at! "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Listen to "The Finest" by S.O.S band. You'll hear it. Wait! Which song came out first? Did Jam & Lewis rip off Wham?? [Edited 8/15/08 9:23am] [Edited 8/15/08 9:24am] [Edited 8/15/08 9:24am]

I've always loved this song. I was 6 when it came out and I always jammed to it when it was on the radio or on MTV. My mom had the album this song was on, I forgot the name of it and I would play this song all the time, It's still one of my favorite songs from George Michael and Wham!. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Favorite Wham song! That's when I became a fan of the music. I was so suprised to hear it live at George's concert a couple of months ago. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
"It's just my imagination, once again running away with me."

Why? Judging by the number of times he has sung it since their breakup, I'd say it's definitely his favorite Wham! song (or at least the one of which he's most proud). [Edited 8/16/08 9:47am] "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

The song was more of a funk song than anything else (bass line). But comparing the sound to the S.O.S. Band for one line is pushing it a little. Don't you think?

[Edited 8/16/08 9:47am] What about Careless Whispers? I'd think that was his all time favorite Wham song. Well, it's debatable whether "Careless Whisper" counts as a Wham! song. It was co-written by Andrew and included on Make It Big, but the single was credited to George alone in his home country. FWIW, it's a moot point for me personally, because I prefer "Everything She Wants." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
