I see a lady in Portugal once in a while.She likes my guitar..
She lived in Kreutsberg Berlin and was there in the time with bowie and lived a kinda life like Cristianne F.She worked as bartender and saw bowie and clapton.. I dont like the concert scene..sign of the times and this one is sugarconed..half studio half live.. But wonderful anyway. Hail prince.. Drunk now.. saudade.. | |

Drunk now.. saudade.. i can forgive bowie for 'stage' and the whole 'artificial live album' concept, which i don't think was altogether on purpose, but the artifice worked to the advantage of his persona at the time, so for some reason i have a lot of patience (if not affection) for the fakery. plus, he's done so many great "real" live albums both pre- and post-"stage", he's allowed one dodgy attempt. if i were to post my favorite live bowie moments, this movie clip wouldn't be on the list. this is amazing to me more because of the iconography and imagery of bowie in this cameo appearance. it's just late 70s bowie as his most bowieful. | |

Loved berlin but i remember the scene a bit studio like..im damn drunk now..but bowie is the bomb..remember prince went to the outside tour in NY too....awsome he did that.. i've only seen bowie 3 times live and i hope he lives (and tours) long enough for me to increase that total...there's nothing like hearing that voice live and in person. i loooove how bowie looked during 'man who fell to earth' - the long orange bangs and the lip gloss and those big pointy hats. but i liked his look better when he got his health back, around the time of 'heroes' and 'lodger'. he had the perfect ratio of smarts and crazy around that time, just leading up to let's dance. bowie circa 1979 fascinates me.  | |

i watched the movie again a few weeks ago, always love the david bowie
songs running through it. great great film too. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |
