***Remy Shand 'The Way I Feel'---This was one of the most refreshing CDs I heard this year.Smooth,breezy,70s'-styled soul music by the very talented Shand. This album is mesmerizing.

***Santana 'Shaman'---Carlos delivers another winning album filled with many treats and surprises. Some songs have to "grow" on you,but overall,it's a fun, joyful album.

***Marc Anthony 'Mended'---Marc is one of the best singers in the biz and this album (his second English-language CD) is excellent, containing fierce uptempo Latin jams ("Tragedy") and beautiful love ballads ("She Mends Me").

***Lauryn Hill 'Unplugged'---Many people thought Lauryn was insane for following up 'Miseducation' with this 2-CD acoustic set.But I think it's brilliant and captivating. One can only wonder what she will do next.

2002 was a pretty weak year... the best albums were from old timers:

Peter Gabriel - Up
David Bowie - Heathen

I also liked:

Moby - 18

That's about it... wasn't Seal supposed to release an album this year?

End.
