BETWEEN THE SHEETS Is it just me or is "Between the Sheets" by the Isley Brothers, the best song to get you and your significant other in the mood? [Edited 7/30/08 17:12pm]

lol I saw that and I was like "THAT'S A FIGHT!" I'm glad I didn't have to smack anyone down. ChristopherTracy319, have you heard the rest of the album that "Between The Sheets" is from? I had gone a long time getting by on just that one track, but actually I love the album too.

Straight up classics that will set the mood guaranteed!

[Edited 7/30/08 17:12pm] Yes it is. However i prefer other isley ballads such as sensuality, voyage to atlantis, don't say goodnight, brown eyed girl, make me say it again girl, and groove with you and midtempo cuts like say you will and midnight sky. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Yeah Don't Say Goodnight is one of my all time favorites. The Isley Brother's are definitely underated when it comes to some of the all time greats!

'Smooth Love' is a compilation. The cut originally appeared on the album 'Between The Sheets' (1983) It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I like the song but I've heard it till I could scream. It's one of the most overplayed songs in history. As for playing it and getting in the mood, it's not one that I play during that time at all because I consider it more midtempo than slow. "Sensuality" is a much better choice for the bedroom. Andy is a four letter word.

Of the tracks on that album ("Between the Sheets"):
"Choosey Lover" and "Ballad for the Fallen Soldier" are among the best.

Incredible song. I love it and it's great for the bedroon. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

That is so true. "Sensuality" has to be one of the best songs that doesn't say the title of the song in the lyrics. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I agree!! I used to love "Between The Sheets" but they have totally played it out.Our classic soul/R&B station plays this song sooooo much,I feel like I hear it more these days than I ever did in 1983 I feel the same way about Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing".
