Please take me serious... I'm IN LOVE with Madonna's Heartbeat

I TOTALLY LOVE THAT SONG!

It's 3 months that I know the song and I still listen to it every day. And when i'm not listening to it, I hum it or i play it on the piano...

Does anyone else love this song as well? Pharell wrote the melody and half of the lyrics, and if I'd ever meet him I'd really go down on my knees to say how much joy he brought into my life with that song.

The same oes with "Protect My Heart", but anyway...

Heartbeat is simple and yet beautiful. I love the dancing theme...

from what I hear in the songs on this album, it's about infidelity and breaking up, and so maybe the production values in the album are what she feels these songs are worth. In other words, maybe these are songs she is singing to put closure to the matters in her life. When a person goes through closure, they often just want to get it over with, so they do as good as they feel the situation warrants.

I've tried my hardest to get accustomed to this tune at the request of friends, but I just can't seem to get myself to do so (as with the bulk of Hard Candy).

The only track that remotely seems to catch my ear is Miles Away.

So do I. Especially seeing Miles Away is my least favourite.

I can't get into that one. The sometimes raw vocals on the chorus really strike me the wrong way (a similar thing is done with the vocals on "Incredible" at times). I think someone mentioned this one as a Kylie throwaway from her last album and actually, it does sound like one of the songs from "X" (forget which since I never got to totally sit down and listen to the CD and only popped it into my car for a day or two). If you dig it, it's cool.

I think "Heartbeat" is my fave song on the album also. It's typical to Madonna's usual club-ready songs, and while it sounds very current, it still sounds very Madonna.

If I were WB, I would get this song out as a single. I think it would make a kill.

I also heard the demo version with Nicole Scherzinger, and it's also pretty good for what it is.

I was at the movies this weekend and when I was going to the pisser, I overheard "4 Minutes" playing from one of the theatres. Is it featured in a movie right now? I was guessing it was the closing credits because the washroom was crowded.

Yes it's in "Get Smart" with JT. Has nothing to do with Heartbeat.

I really adore this track. As said before, I also adore "Protect My Heart" by Kelis. I think Madonna could have that song as well.

I adore PW for those songs. How one can come up with such a beautiful melody with only three chords...

Man, I can't understand why some people like the Timbaland tracks more. It's mostly ballads, and they are soooo ordinary.
PW didn't invent a new musical style for Madonna, but he tried out different styles with her, and I think PW wrote some of his best song for Madonna.

Since it's not clear, if Heartbeat was once considered for Nicole Scherzinger, I hope on her album will some songs in the same vein as Heartbeat too!!!

Although my favorite song on the album is "Miles Away" (one of the Timbaland tracks),I think Pharrell delivered the best songs overall. His songs sound modern, yet 80s retro at the same time.

I'd call it about even. That shows how much more of a Timbaland fan I am, because I think Pharrell's tracks are his best work in years (while Tim's are nothing special for him).

The thing about this song is that it is not immensley commercial, however it is catchy tune and the arrangement leading up to the chorus is a charm too.

I like when Pharell comes in out of no where and goes "She's alright, alright..alright" (or whatever he is saying).

At first I wasnt catching what this song meant because I knew it had to be more than just dancing and partying...I think there is a hidden message in this tune like some1 said above, or maybe I just want more than what it is. Love this song tho.
