Neyo is a genius, he learned from MJ and Prince

I did not realize how many songs this person have wrote for these artists after watching his top 25!! Then his top 10 songs were all dominated by MJ and Prince alternating each other til #2!! I have to pay more attention to him!!

I like him too for the same reason! He's the only r&b male artist today that I'm ok with.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Of all the MJ copycats, he's the most tolerable. Chris Brown is unbearable

Yes, I completely agree with U.

I concur. And of course he will never be on their level, but who will? We've not seen talent like Mj or Prince in fucking years. neutral

Maybe he's a halfway decent songwriter or arranger but Neyo's voice is so nasally (well so is MJ's!). I just can't stand grown men with nasally whiny voices and there are a few of them out in R&B and they all sound alike to me. Little kids. I like men that sound like men. I also don't think he has enough range in his voice to make some of those songs he sings very interesting. shrug
