Rare song written by Mj for others If I am not mistaken, all these songs are supposed to be written by MJ and they´re all beautiful.
Ralph Tresvant - Alright Now Blackstreet - Joy Bryan Loren - Satisfy You (The strings remind me a bit of Prince´s The One) "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I know for sure that Joy was written by MJ. It was a Dangerous track that TR picked up after MJ had completed the album. It's also one of my favorite Blackstreet songs. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Is MJ doing backing vocals on Satisfy You and Joy? It sounds like him... [Edited 7/25/08 11:01am]

Yeah, I love "Joy", probably my fave Blackstreet song. I wonder how it would have turned out if MJ had sang it himself and included it on the "Dangerous" album. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

MJ should have let Teddy do a ballad on the album because Teddy could really write a damn good one. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

It should be. He wrote it (and probably recorded it). I'm surprised Teddy didn't try to sell those demos as well. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

He left it off because to MJ, it did not fit the feel of the album. I believe, "Heal the world", took it's place. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

It is probably one of the worst MJ songs (to me)....ever. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I love HTW and I don't believe the story's true. HW is one of the songs that was always supoosed to be on his next album after BAD.

'Heal The World' is simply one of MJ's best songs ever in my opinion.
'Joy' is definetly MJ'esque! You learn something new everyday 'cause I did'nt know this. [Edited 7/26/08 21:26pm]

Ralph Tresvant - Alright Now Blackstreet - Joy Bryan Loren - Satisfy You (The strings remind me a bit of Prince´s The One) I thought Teddy Riley wrote "Joy" for his new born daughter at the time. Are you sure Michael Jackson wrote that?

Let's not forget the timeless "Muscles" for Dianne Ross. What a macho classic written by a macho man.

I don't like that version of Joy, as the other one they have. It's a little different. The one I like I can't find on Youtube. It's similiar, but better in my opinion. It's just a slight difference in the music.

Well, here's the other remix: Blackstreet - Joy (Uptown Joy) If it isn't that one, you're probably talking about the album version. I greatly prefer the New Carnegie Mix. The piano line adds a lot to the song IMO. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

The piano line adds a lot to the song IMO. Thank, but no, that's not it. The one I like is exactly identical as the one in the first post, except without the extra strings and piano. And the chorus has more layer. Also at 3:05 it has the mini rap "Check 1, check 2, there isn't nothing in this world that I wouldn't do for you. Check 1, check 2, I can't hold back. I'm in love with you." repeated twice. Those are the only differences. Is the one I'm talking about the album version? If so, that's the one I like. [Edited 7/27/08 18:57pm]

I discovered Satisfy You last year and I like it. It has a similair feel like Someone Put Your Hand Out, a bit sad, as MJ is. I miss his melodies....
Don't forget his spectacular (ironic) song for Siegfried & Roy!!!

Don't forget his spectacular (ironic) song for Siegfried & Roy!!! Me too. His melodies are like no other. And I just looooove Someone Put Your Hand Out - that´s just a perfect song, with the perfect lyrics - so touching. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."
