Aspiring Rapper Bobby Hall, Jr. Shot To Death In Oakland

Up and Coming Oakland, California rapper Bobby Hall, Jr., known for speaking out against violence, was shot to death over the weekend.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the 25 year-old was killed Saturday (July 19) when visiting friends in an East Oakland house. Police report that Hall was sitting inside when he was slain with multiple bullets.

His parents, Mona and Bobby Hall, Sr., were called to the scene of the crime to identify the victim as their son from the coroner’s photo.

“I said let me see it, he had it in a digital camera,” his father said. “I looked at it, and that was my son.”

Prior to the murder, the family’s only other son, Jesse Hall, was also brutally killed in 1992 when gunned down in his car outside their Oakland home.

Devastated by the gruesome loss Hall, 56, wrote a book. Thru a Mother's Eyes: The Story of Jesse Rahim Hall, My Murdered Child came out last year.

She has plans for another book.

"It's crazy," she said. "We can't believe that we're reliving this nightmare all over again."

Hall’s mother had harsh words for the gun industry as she gave blame to them for their life-taking products.

“As long as the gun makers are getting their profits, they’re going to continue to shell out all these big guns,” she said. “And I feel like they have never experienced what we the poor people have experienced down here in the trenches. They apparently have never experienced losing someone like I have, like my family has.”

As of now no arrests have been made.

Being black in East Oakland doesn't make you a gangbanger.
Innocent people get shot more than intended targets it seems.
So until you can provide some truth, let's leave it as an
opinion and conjecture.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Actually he wasn't. East Oakland has a huge crime rate and many victims are innocent bystanders

know what you're talking about before you post something like that confused

The guy was mentioned in the Oakland Tribune a week ago for his work with anti violence organizations

I saw the report last night on the news, and I really felt for the family having to relive this tragedy again. It's horrible.
"Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!
