1st thoughts (after three listens). I like this a LOT. It is a mix I will listen to over and over. The first track is my favourite although I have always loved Julia and Heroin. The lyrics of "My Body Is A Cage" have been stuck in my head since first listen. Edgy and feels like I want to shake it but it isn't quite time so it's going to stay around for a bit (if that makes any sense). I love also the "Computer Love" track and can see the relevance here. The music is just stunning and had me tightly gripped for a long period of time. The intense and haunting spirit of the cd makes a memorable listening experience. Thank you so much for sharing these emotional thoughts and songs. Much love to you, Ian. hug

As I told Supa, Demon Days is well-worth checking out. It works on so many different levels, and really puts the debut album to shame!

Maybe I'll play that one tomorrow in the store! I hope I don't sell it straight away! wink

I forgot to mention it before, but I sold the album before it even came to 'demon days'. Luckily we had two copies in the store!

So that puts the score at two albums sold through this muxtape! One of New Order, one Gorillaz.

thumbs up!

moonbeam, thank you for this powerful journey. I am very moved by how heart-connected you are to music and I feel I now know you somewhat from this very personal, autobiographical approach. I really get the hymn-like nature of these pieces, emphasized by your embracing, articulate descriptions. I feel like they belong inside a cathedral and my heart is aching from the truth of the emotions. The careful assembly of songs, tracing events and experiences through time, is a kind of treatise for a decade lived. I have a feeling this may be the most spiritually-connected of the mixtapes we encounter (although yes, Huey's has a similar vibe)

this is my first impression, i will listen again

I have to say, at the moment, Julia captures me the most.

I'm surprised by all the positive reactions to Demon Days. I have this album, and I agree that it's great. I listen to it A LOT, but I don't really like this song. I keep going back to it trying to hear what y'all hear, but I can't get into it!

touched Thank you! I was nervous about putting it all out there for mass org consumption, but I'm delighted by the response! It really was a cleansing experience, and I have another twist to add soon.
