Meh.

Back to Black is one of the most overrated albums of the decade. However, she's definitely got something, and it would shine brighter if she cleaned up the wreck of her life.

Chrisette Michele - Yay

Adele - Yay

even Norah Jones - Yay and I've never been a fan of hers, but

Amy Winehouse - To me, her voice is no better than the three ladies I mentioned above. I say, NAY times 1000. Her drug addiction overshadows her music to me because she seems to glorify being a junkie. I refuse to support that and really don't understand why anyone else does, but hey, some people like to give money to people who use it to destroy themselves, so more power to them.

I wouldn't call her voice "amazing" but I do like her style & delivery, she's interesting but let's not put too much on it lol Frank is better than Back to Black, I like more tracks off it. So overall "yay", but that bitch needs to pull it together already...

yay - all the way!

Amy is a mess when it comes to her personal life and her addictions, but as far as her music goes, it's top notch. Both of her albums are excellent. I hope she gets her act together because she has real talent, but it's becoming more and more difficult to see it when she's all drugged out.

highfive

Put Amy, Adele and Duffy on the stage next to Sharon Jones and watch Sharon & the Dap Kings blow each of them away effortlessly.

The others can sing but they sound robotic comapared to Sharon Jones.

The Dap Kings effortlessly performed the music on Winehouse's last album and toured with her.

I think she is talented and is wasting that talent away. I think Drugs are going to take their toll on her voice and talent. It'll be interesting if people actually care for her for the next album. She's done a LOT of damage to her reputation and image, allowing the door to swing open for other artists like Sharon Jones and Jully Black.
