I saw Bart PEETERS yesterday with his theater-concert-show ZONDER CIRCUS

He covers two songs of prince, he translated them in dutch.
It's not really a translation but an adaptation, but IMO it works really well.

He did
'zeester en koffie'
very enjoyable. He didn't tell this was one of princes, but he said that songs could be about the most trivial things, and the most beautiful songs often are.

for an encore he did
'soms sneeuwt het in de lente'
Now I must say this was very beautiful. U have to know the story behind it, about his soulmate R.MOSSUSE who died of cancer...
Anyway, I think he did this one with perhaps more passion than prince does sometimes. And the lyrics, perfect.
About Ronny Mossuse who did a song for SAMSON en GERT, SAMSON is ziek. In the first verse samson was ill, the second he was even worse and in the third samson died.
Nobody got the point at that time, but when Ronny died ...

Here Bart said: 'this song is one that prince wrote a while back, it's one of those songs that can help you out when you don't know what to do in a certain situation, that's why I translated it and sing it for you'

phew ... I thougt this was big, but all in a very humble and modest way.

haven't seen him live but they play these songs quite often on the radio, and both r very well done, usually i'm not the guy's biggest fan, but gotta give him props this time.
