I ain't gonna lie.....I know it for mainly being used for embalming the dead and in building materials. I don't know either, in this song ,

But in the intro, you here them say "Lt. Morbid(diseased, deathly, doom) whats the condition of the planets surface", Lt. Morbid says "my instruments indicate a condition of extreme Rigor Mortis (stiffening of the muscles Post Mortem) spreading highly throughout the planet"... So as Capt. Smith says it... "A bunch of stiffs"....
