The only two that really jump out at me are Devo's version of 'Satisfaction' and Luther Vandross' 'House Is Not A Home' and 'Superstar'. I'm sure I'll think of some others later.

I do too! I think I might prefer the Pretenders' version of "Private Life", though. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

"Warm Leatherette" for sure, but "Love is the Drug" is totally Roxy Music's.

Third World's version of the O'Jay's - "Now That We Found Love" is much better than the original.
UB40's - Red, Red, Wine is better than Neil Diamond's version. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

I love the original Martha version but Sheena Easton's version, produced by Nile Rodgers, for her DO YOU album comes close (for me).

Agreed. I like the groove of it and the organ stuff in the chorus. Another one is Rascal Flatts' cover of "Life Is A Highway" over Tom Cochrane's original. The Flatts version is candy, but it rocks and their harmonies sound great on it. http://www.youtube.com/wa...8x-Ul6jShk

I will have to disagree with you two times there. Which version of "Demolition Man" came out first? I LOVE Grace's version. I like Bauhaus Ziggy cover more than the original. Maybe because I heard it first.

Maybe because I heard it first. i think the bauhaus version of ziggy has more punch, but i'm more loyal to the bowie version. i do prefer their version of 'third uncle' to the brian eno original, though. 'telegram sam' is a toss-up. i think the police's version of "demolition man" came first, though i might be wrong about that. i know sting did it live and re-recorded it for that lame-ass sly stallone movie by the same title. i think everyone thinks of it as a grace song regardless. OH: and it's also a toss-up for me between grace and iggy with "nightclubbing". both are pretty sweet.
