U2-EVEN BETTER THAN THE REAL THING?

MY PARENTS MAY SAY THAT THE STONES OR THE BEATLES ARE THE GREATEST BUT SURELY A BAND DOESNT HAVE TO COME FROM THE SIXTIES TO BE PROCLAIMED THE BEST.U2 HAVE BEEN WITH US FOR 20+ YEARS NOW AND THEY HAVE SOME AMAZING MUSIC LIKE THE JOSHUA TREE,ACHTUNG BABY,AND THERE LAST ALBUM.WHAT DO ALL MUSIC FANS THINK?U2-THE BEST THING SINCE THE SIXTIES HAPPENED OR WHAT?

Joshua Tree was their breakthrough, but early 90s U2 was more interesting when their sound went through a 180 degree transformation. I think their latest album is one of the least interesting, no matter how popular it is/was.

i dug early U2 probably the best.of course some late 80's "Joshua Tree".since then early 90's they were mixing there vibe along with a Electronic,Disco type vibe IMHO.some things worked some didn't IMHO.over the past Few years they have Bored Me more than anything.they have been very Successful&whatnot but I Don't feel they are making Good Albums anymore Per Se.Bono gets so much attention that they kinda get lost as a Band in some circles.but IMHO they just don't Compare with those Bands from the 60's at all IMHO.they are Good within there Era&Time.

You guys who are ragging on U2's latest output havent seen them perform it live...plus you cant feel U2 like some people cant feel Jimi...or else you wouldnt say such things about their latest ATYCLB.

Seeing them on tv etc live is not the same as being there--I didnt feel the way I do about them unbtil I saw them live in 91, and they changed my life. Same with soME other artists. Live (actually being there) is the real deal. ATYCLB is their third classic album..period.

And the billboard act was from POP I believe..with the demand for them live and the concept of POP,there wasnt much to do BUT do it huge..at least they played arenas on this last jaunt and the floor tickets were the cheap tickets..for the fans,...for as big as they are, U2 are as audience friendly etc. and little frills as possible, as they come.

Never helped me. Never had a problem feeling some of U2's other albums, so it has no bearing on this one for me.
