There have been a number of biographies attempted but most got stalled for one reason or another --There is the Oral history--from the For The Record Series--P-funk-An Oral History, by David Mills, Larry Alexander, Thomas Stanley, and Aris Wilson (edited by Dave Marsh) featuring interviews and recollections from all the living bandmembers, past and present...I don't know if it's still in print, but copies still turn up on the net....the thing is, it could have been much larger. The interviewers really had enough material for a full sized tome, but editor Dave Marsh wittled it down to fit his "For the Record" series. There's still a lot of material there, but I hope all the material they gathered shows up in a larger work... http://www.amazon.com/Rec...0380793784 ...
