What's on Your Wish List

What albums are you after? They can be upcoming albums, albums you plan to get, or albums you have sought for a long time.

I actually have a formula I use to rank the items I want. The list is currently 182 albums long. eek

Here are the top 10:

1. Grace Jones- Warm Leatherette (1980)
2. Grace Jones- Living My Life (1982)
3. Kim Wild- Select (1982)
4. This Heat- Deceit (1981)
5. Kim Wilde- Kim Wilde (1981)
6. Kim Wilde- Catch As Catch Can (1983)
7. Talking Heads- Fear of Music (1979)
8. Stevie Wonder- Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants (1979)
9. Brian Eno- Another Green World (1975)
10. Brian Eno- Here Come the Warm Jets (1973)

There are a few ‘80s-era Fall albums that I don’t have on CD. I’ve been holding out for reissues that have been occasionally rumored but never materialized. I’ll break down and buy the existing versions one of these days just for the sake of completeness, but I have pretty decent vinyl copies and CDRs made from a friend’s copies so it’s not a burning priority.

Also:

Robert Wyatt – Dondestan
Gene Clark – White Light
The Apartments – A Life Full Of Farewells
The Triffids – Calenture + In The Pines
The Handsome Family – In The Air
Jimmie Dale Gilmore – One Endless Night and Come On Back
Wire – Read and Burn series
Smog – Rain on Lens

there's only one album i'd like to hear again but haven't been able to locate
anywhere

holly johnson - "blast"

i had it on cassette when i was 13 and i loved that album. it was so kitsch
and ott. i doubt i would still like it now but i'd love to have it just the
same from a nostalgia point of view.

lol

Moonbeam's formula has 3 components:

1. My own desire of the item scaled from 0 to 10.

2. Its rating on rateyourmusic.com

3. Its recommendation level based on acclaimedmusic.net

I've used it to pick out some stuff recently, and I've been pretty pleased!

So the length of time you've been pining for it probably has something to do with its sliding rating from 0 to 10?
