Cyndi Lauper - Into the nighlife (New video)

A great song from one of the best pop/dance albums of this decade...shame the video is so...average! And the editing... confused

Love the album

Love this song

Video is kinda chessy and roughly put together, just good to see Cyndi out there again.

love

I love her look on the japanase performance of Set your heart....

STUNNING!

With added FX...wow! Great promo video it would have been!

Yeah. Maybe my least favorite song on the album though. "Grab a Hold" or "Rocking Chair" would be awesome singles. "Night Life" took a while to grow on me. Like I said, though, I like every song on the album. Prolly my favorite album this year. And "Same 'Ole Story" has been worn out at all the gay pride goings on 'round here. biggrin

What about Lay Me Down?

It's such a melancholic song...

I'm currently whoring Lyfe and Echo. Great tunes.

Grab a hold is pure 80's Cyndi with the electro production of Dragonette (Canadian duo who has some following in the UK)

Shame Sony will fuck up promo has usual

Ooh yeah. Lay Me Down, Rain on Me, Give it Up, High and Mighty, Echo...all killer songs. Just that Rocking Chair and Grab a Hold got stuck in my head like an ice pick. Those kinds of songs make great singles.

In my opinion , what makes this cd stand out is that you can't pin all the songs into one genre. They don't all sound alike , but if you're familiar with her entire catalog , you know she's always been reinventing herself and not afraid to try new things. My personal favorites are "Into The Nightlife" , "Echo" , "Raging Storm" , "Lay Me Down" , "Give It Up" , and "Rain On Me". Very nice cd. smile

Same Ole Story will move up to #2 on Billboard's Dance Club play chart this week. Almost ensuring it will be her first #1 on the Dance chart in 25 years (Girls just Wanna....of course was her first in '83)

I wish this stuff would catch on mainstream , this is too good to go unnoticed. People need to know she is still out there making great music. Of course at 54 years old , there is little to no chance at that. neutral
