maybe it'll deal with how some people quit being fans after they kept putting homophobic lyrics on their albums.

Anx, which lyrics in particular are you referring to. Because the only thing that comes to mind for me right now, are the lyrics to 'Servitude', which were definitely not homophobic. What, what will you write?
For whose pleasure, for whose delight? Will your readers see your light? Will you say...That the singer can't blow you away? That we hate people just 'cause they're gay Women and children all stay away

Co-sign Ms. Legs. They rocked "Freddie's Dead". My fave by them is "Give A Monkey A Brain..." Met them a few years ago opening for them and they're all cool guys. Can't wait to see this film.

been a fan since 1986 and not once experienced anything homophobic about this band
anyway, the band is a shell of what it once was so it doesn't really matter i'm submitting some of my old concert footage for this documentary last i heard, Kendall went through some sort of mental crisis right before the band was about to make it big then they literally kidnapped him back into the band and that didn't really work Kendall has been low profile ever since, still in the music business but behind the scenes i wish they would get back together but i think it is more of a Roger Waters/David Gilmour type of thing, but worse

That one went way past me. I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, so maybe you should elaborate. test

this issue always comes up whenever there's a Fishbone thread, but no one has been able to pin point what they said exactly. i know in one song they say "this is a heterosexual celebration" which if that's what the gay community is calling homophobic, they might be blowing it a little out of proportion.

I'm a longtime fan as well, and that's the only thing I can think of too. Anyway, cool about the documentary though. looking forward to this! Nice! I've been digging Fishbone since late 80's and although they've been thru a lot, I still fly the flag. I only wish Spacey T would've gotten more than 1 proper studio album. I'd love to hear The Hen House Sessions that he was on. I got the DVD so I guess that's close. But nothing compares to the classic line-up. Fishbone Ep, through Give A Monkey...All classic material. My fave, Truth and Soul. I still rock that T-shirt. Fantasy is reality in the world today. But I'll keep hangin in there, that is the only way.

anyone get the homophobic lyrics yet?
some of the best live shows i ever attended were Fishbone shows i wrote the band once and Angelo wrote back to me.....it was pretty cool then I met them walking down the Sunset Strip one day and they informed me of a secret show coming up with them, the RHCP and Jane's Addiction.....needless to say it was a great show but Fishbone stole it

I have seen a movie about them and several others at a film festival a few months ago. I can't wait to read what yall think. I have my own opinions. I don't want to give the movie away, so I will leave it at just that. nipsy

I am a gay.
I am a Fishbone fan. Rather, I was for a longtime but haven't listened to them for a long while. I've never noticed the homophobic stuff mentioned. Then again, I tend to focus on the music so I rarely notice lyrics unless they're outstanding. Angelo bummed a cigarette from me @ Lollapalloooozzaa in 1993. I was happy to give him one but I just thought, "Damn. Dude didn't bring his own to his own show?"

So I clicked on the link, and this thing is unclear. Is the movie made, or are they looking to make a film?
