Music I Love; Sufjan Stevens' Chicago The entire song;
The beautiful arrangement, vocally and musically. The lyrics that lift the song beyond what it actually is, as it has the power to transform the listener. The music; it is soft, yet piercing, then it rocks out with guitars AND violins, yet never stops melodic. TANd that melody is something you carry with you... all things go, all things go drove to Chicago all things know, all things know we sold our clothes to the state I don't mind, I don't mind I made a lot of mistakes in my mind, in my mind you came to take us all things go, all things go to recreate us all things grow, all things grow we had our mindset all things know, all things know you had to find it all things go, all things go I drove to New York in a van, with my friend we slept in parking lots I don't mind, I don't mind I was in love with the place in my mind, in my mind I made a lot of mistakes in my mind, in my mind you came to take us all things go, all things go to recreate us all things grow, all things grow we had our mindset all things know, all things know you had to find it all things go, all things go if I was crying in the van, with my friend it was for freedom from myself and from the land I made a lot of mistakes I made a lot of mistakes I made a lot of mistakes I made a lot of mistakes you came to take us all things go, all things go to recreate us all things grow, all things grow we had our mindset all things know, all things know you had to find it all things go, all things go you came to take us all things go, all things go to recreate us all things grow, all things grow we had our mindset (I made a lot of mistakes) all things know, all things know (I made a lot of mistakes) you had to find it (I made a lot of mistakes) all things go, all things go (I made a lot of mistakes)

Anyways. Glad to see you all hot for Sufjan's music instead of his looks. I am always SO glad people aren't really superficial, but just like good music.
Esp you Isten. | |

While you're at it, show me your interpretative skills while dissecting this piece of music with its obvious tempo and melody changes atop of all the small nuances. Calling it boring takes guts and begs for an explanation.

Btw, I'll kill you if you tell me about the toaster!

Loving this album in particular and Sufjan in general lately. Recent discovery for me. He and the album could go on the all-time favorites lists soon. "Try to remember how you used to feel about me
and think about how you're treating me now. Then try to reconcile them, if you can. But you don't even remember, do you?"
