Well, I think this tour will be a definite pass for me; I've seen Janet numerous times in the past, and I've never walked away fully satisfied. Besides, I concur with everyone that says that she needs to retire a lot of her routines and themes. Even the segments of her shows are tired: If/Black Cat, Again/Come Back To Me/Let's Wait Awhile, Togetehr Again/Someone to Call My Lover/Got Til It's Gone, Escapade/Runaway/When I Think of You, etc...

It's less about her dropping Rhythm Nation and If from the setlist, and more about attempting to put on something different each time she tours. Otherwise, what's the point of spending $100 to see her? I've already paid hundreds of dollars to see her lipsynch and grind; unless she mixes it up, I just can't justify spending money on another one of her shows.

But that's not what she usually does. She'll sing "When I Think of You" in the exact same arrangement she did in 1986 and then sing "Rollercoaster" right afterwards. And when she tours again in 2018, she'll do the exact same thing, except she'll sing "When I Think of You '86" and "Smiley Giggle Song '18" right next to each other.

I hope ticket prices aren't astronomical. I'd really like to go, as long as it isn't an arm and a leg. She's still not worth that to me, even though I'm really digging Discipline and willing to give her the benefit of the doubt that it won't be the same damn show she does every tour.

cause it's true and it's sad. maybe she'd tour more if it was different. i could imagine doing the same routine for 23 24 years gets very boring very quickly.

No, you just whine nonstop. Get over it! I hated the new Madonna record, but did not post on and on in the thread what a piece of shit I thought it was. There's absolutely no point in doing that - *and*, we haven't even seen the new tour, so it's impossible to judge it.

Physician, heal thyself. You're clearly not interested in the show, so leave your tickets for someone who will enjoy themself. No point in bitching nonstop about this until you don't attend the show in September.
