Never really liked the band or any member in particular.
(Simon Le Bon's voice is particularly annoying headache ).

But I did enjoy John Taylor's bass playing on A View to a Kill.
( hmmm If there was only an instrumental version ) cool

JT stays in the pocket. He's a very nimble, subtle player. He's a student of

Bernard Edwards.

Duran Duran was never my favorite, though I liked some of their songs.

But there's no comparison to the later teen idol groups. These guys wrote & played their own stuff. John & Andy Taylor were good enough to act the part of session guys with Robert Palmer & Tony Thompson.

There's one Duran Duran song that sounds especially like Prince. I don't remember the title. Can someone help? Thanks.

I loved The Power Station still play Some Like It Hot, Bang A Gong, Communication, and Isley Brothers remake of Harvest For the World often.

lol I love everything about DD, but Simon's voice is probably my favorite. It's distinctive, versatile, and powerful -- he's easily one of my all-time favorite pop/rock vocalists. nod

No, I'm pretty sure it was not a single. Very rock/funk... Thanks though.

I always thought "Lake Shore Driving" sounded Prince-ish.

The studio version moreso than this live performance.

I was thinking "Skin Trade" with the falsetto and it's funky.
