Brian McKnight Appreciation Brian Mcknight has made some of my favorite songs over the years like Crazy Love, Back At One, Only One For Me, Love Is (with Vanessa Williams) and Could You Be The One for Me I know people have some bad things to say about him every now and then, but I have loved these songs for a long time-thanks to him for the music.

He lost me after the Anytime album. And when he released "Say My Name" and did the Prince scream, I was done. Upper persuasion for the lower invasion

I would go as far to say Never Felt This Way is one of my all time favorite songs... just simply beautiful.. He could barely use real instrumentation.. he went to that standard R&B Sound when i think he would have been just as successful not selling out.

The first album was good. I really dug "Is the Feeling Gone" with the dudes from Take 6.
Awesome work. He's a Stevie disciple, and his stuff got real easy to lose among all the other contenders for the throne.

I actually like a lot of his new album, he writes and sings some good melodies, I wish he would stop with the standard RnB production and get a nice band to really flesh out the songs. I actually like whats my name , lol. At this point in history, we have a choice to make

I'm not a "big" fan of his, but I do have almost all of his albums. Most of his material is so hit and miss that it is not funny. The last album, 10, was probably his best effort since "Anytime". I really loved "Find Myself In You". You can really tell he wrote that song from a deeper place from within. He channeled the pain and conviction of Marvin Gaye on this track. Brian tries to stretch out (as far as his record company lets him). I really like the duet with Rascal Flats on 10. The song is very well written and has a 70s pop vibe to it (ala Don Henley and The Eagles). I know I'm going to get slapped 4 this, but I didn't care that much for his first album. It wasn't because of the material, it was because he didn't seem to know the limitations of his voice. There are many "pitchy" vocals throughout the album. It was good....especially for a debut....but I don't think Brian came to be until "Anytime" hit. I also like the song he did on Vanessa Williams' "Comfort Zone" album ("You Gotta Go"). IT was perfection. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

There's a reason he's holding his neck on this pic, meat head mf I loved the SHIT outta his first album, "Never Felt This Way" is flawless & "Is the Feeling Gone" is really nice. Then he churned out shit album after shit album (though I do like "I Belong To You" from Anytime) & intentionally dumbed down his process to please the masses. The mf even had a quote in an article that basically said audiences are too dumb to deal w/ complex arrangements, etc & that he keeps it simple (I'm paraphrasing). Thank God I'm not the masses, haven't supported this "pack'a hot dogs" necked fool in YEARS. What a shame to purposely waste your talent, that bitch is bought & sold
