What was the last rap album you enjoyed? Old or new, I don't care if you heard it late or whatever.
I know there are a lot of orgers who no longer appreciate the genre BUT ONCE DID! Tell me what album was the last album you really genuinely liked from the rap/hip-hop genre.

For some of you, it might have been just a song.
Like "Rapper's Delight". That's fine too. I am just curious!

I really really like this album. ^^ I almost said Pete Rock's NY's Finest but I didn't like all of it. I like the brand new Busta Rhymes track: http://www.worldstarhipho...zwv0269726

Wow, great question! I was kinda into hiphop in the 90s, mostly snoop and Dre because of their p-funk samples and it kinda went from there. But the last truly hiphop album I enjoyed was Common's 'Like water for chocolate'... Damn, that 2000 ...Or maybe RJD2 or Diplo if that qualifies as hiphop...

RJD2 I would definitely say is hip hop. Diplo is somethin' else, though I do love him.

The last rap album released that I really enjoyed all the way through was Missy Elliot's This Is Not a Test. The most recent rap album I heard and enjoyed was Public Enemy's It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back. Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Missy Eliot is not rap, shes an R and B singer with rap elements in her songs and yes I have "Respect me"
Last RAP album I thoroughly enjoyed Late Registration by Kanye West big on dat shit I was a big rap fan from 90 to about 96 (Age 13-20), especially ICE T, NWA, Snoop, Dr Dre, Tupac, Notorious BIG, 2 Live Crew, now wouldn't give that shit the time of day [Edited 5/4/08 1:37am] 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

plantlife: time traveller i'm not sure if this really qualifies as a rap album since it's kind of like prince vs soul vs rap vs electronica and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

@ tane1976: same sentiment here except that I also agree with istenszek. There are some interesting hiphop kinda things out there somewhere...
