I've listened to this album a bit now, and I'm not particularly impressed.
While it's in no way bad, it lacks the sprawling ambition and deliberation of past NIN albums. Except for classics like Echoplex and Lights in the Sky, it sounds more or less like a collection of quickly recorded tracks that Trent gave little thought to afterwards. It's a diluted "With Teeth", but as a testament to Trent's talent, that means it's still pretty good. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

London London is rather beautiful. I still get pangs of thinking I can't believe I'm really living in my favourite city sometime. It's gonna be even more insane if I live in LA at some point. | |
