Van Hunt and I are in love (pic included) So last night I went to see Van Hunt live (for the second time) at the Black Cat in DC. It was a really good show and he was just as charming and silly as he was at the last show.
It was all acoustic, so just Van, his guitar and his keyboard. Im not good at remembering setlists, but some of the song highlights were : Popular, Character, Dust, Down Here in Hell, The Lowest 1 of my Desires etc. He had to keep telling the losers at the bar to shut the hell up, which was odd cause why would you buy a ticket to see the guy and then talk through his set??? But all in all it was a funnn show Afterwards I got to meet him again!!!! I was so excited He was SUPERNICE, and even kinda flirty I hugged him and he had his arm around me and goes "so whats your name?" I whisper to him "It's Stacey" and he says "you're over 20 right?" I say "Im 23..." and he's like "perrrfect then..." all along sounding so sexy I told him "I hope you feel better soon" (he had a cold, but still sounded great) and he said "I feel better all ready" and smiled we also had some random dialouge but I was so giddy I don't even remember what was going on Gawd! I loooovvvee him ...oh and I don't know what the hell happened to his hair!!! For the encore he took off his scarf and we all saw his hair for the first time in a while and there was a collective look of shock on everyones faces! I thought he was still sexy even though his do was jacked up It was like cut close on top but full at the bottom, like a reverse bowl cut If you will, so will I

I'm impressed. I wasn't sure if he could cut it without a backing band.
It takes guts to play a set entirely by yourself. COME TO THE JAZZ CAFE VAN HUNT!

Awesome! I've still yet to see him. But he's on the list.
@ reverse bowl cut I thought his hair looked a little strange in the pic. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

My friend I went with was disappointed cause she was ready to rock out, but I enjoyed the intimacy of this show He has to stop Seconds of Pleasure midway through though, cause a-holes at the bar only came to hear Dust and wanted to talk through the show If you will, so will I

That hunt guy is alright too It is so great to meet your musical heroes. Not sure if he's a hero to you or not but you know what I mean 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I'd love to see him live in concert one day. I will see Bilal in some weeks at last after he cancelled two concerts I planned to go, so Van Hunt is one of the few artists I never saw live, but desperately want to see . I hope one day he comes to play near where I live .
Great picture, although his hair really looks strange . With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

Not sure if he's a hero to you or not but you know what I mean I know what you mean, and he's definitely one of my favorite musicians, so it was really specail to me. I loved how nice and down to earth he was! I mean, If his assistant hadn't been moving people out, I woulda just stayed the rest of the night (or my life) with him If you will, so will I

I'm 6 feet tall, but I've become accustomed to 'squating' a bit in pictures with out even noticing it so I'm not sure if Im standing straight or not I've actually noticed quite a few tall females that seem to do similar stuff ie: leaning, hunching, etc.. its pathetic, I know If you will, so will I

Van played here in NY on the 29th, but I went to see Goldfrapp instead. I didn't know his show was acoustic this time. That would have been interesting to see. Any other night and I would have gone.

how was goldfrapp It was a very different kind of Goldfrapp show. Serene and subtle compared to the disco-glam of the Supernature tour. Hypnotic at times too. I liked it.
