Has anyone given this one a go yet? Listening now. I'm not going to be able to fully take it in until I listen to it at home with the volume up, but it sounds like classic Portishead. I'm sure this release will get overshadowed in today's other big release, but I'm more excited about this one...

i'm hoping to get my hands on a copy today. i'm more excited about this than the "other" new release as well.

Dummy - Has the excellent James Bond-sounding single "Sour Times". The rest of the album is very trip hop.


Portishead - A more bleak, creepier sounding electronic recording. Awesome.

I could have seen her at the Björk show last year too if I had known at the time that Santogold was really Santi White from Stiffed. Instead, I got to the venue late and missed her set because I didn't know who she was.

i was actually able to find a copy of the new portishead CD downtown. miracle!

and i also bought "the other" new release today, for the bf. i felt like i was buying porn. "IT'S NOT FOR ME!!!"
