even 'crooked rain' would be more understandable.

Crooked Rain should have been the Pavement pick. It is about the same critical caliber as Odelay, and college DJs still play it.

I love Crooked Rain but Slanted & Enchanted should have been the pick here! It set their sound and ended in the RS Top 10 albums of the 90's....therefore I don't get it why they picked Wowee Zowee!

Not to mention any Pavement album in your library shows some cool (in the manner this thread implies). Even the most popular one is fairly obscure.

you have a point. all i'm saying is, between the two of us, you'd be the only one bitching here if they'd chosen 'crooked rain' instead. smile

I think they wanted to pick a Pavement album, period, thinking Pavement is a pretty coll & obscure band.

Rattled by the Rush is the only song of theirs I've heard on the radio, maybe that made the album the obvious choice for RS?

Of course, you're missing the most obvious point that these lists are stupid!

Well, they had to have the Rolling Stones in there,
and the list wouldn't be complete without Prince.
