The Rolling Stones' 'Shine a Light' opens this weekend!

I'm not much of a Scorsese fan (aside from "Life Lessons" and After Hours), but the reviews of this have been excellent (especially the IMAX version).

I really admire Jagger, the person (a very no-bullshit kinda guy) and I think I might see this. hmmm The behind-the-scenes stuff looks very entertaining and who doesn't want to see a 63-year-old guy grind Christina Aguilera? razz

Yes! I can't wait. This will be fantastic. Can't wait to pick up the cd later today too.

Mick is an extremely intelligent man and has helped to make the Stones who they are today. He's got a great mind for business and writes amazing songs too.

I've seen a show at The Beacon and it looks like a great place to shoot a concert film.

I saw a bit of it on TV once and, of course, I've seen the famous clip ("Do I amuse you?"). That's enough for me. I really don't get the fascination with mobsters. shrug

Yes and he is messed up. I want to see the Stones movie but just might wait for video. It sounds like a cool concert with some behind the scenes stuff. I have already seen a scene where the Stones meet Hilary Clinton's mom and they are very polite to her.

Supposedly, the IMAX version is well worth seeing. I'll probably check it out this weekend and I hate going to the theater. lol

It's not even about mob fascination b/c I'm not really into the genre. Goodfellas is a nearly flawless movie in every sense. It's just ridiculously good exclaim

I'm a huge Scorsese fan, so I'll be seeing this as a matter of course. The clips I've seen are great.

Not sure I'd want to see a 63 year old guy grinding ANYONE though, Ace, you perv you! lol

You'd be amazed at the movies I haven't seen. lol Except for Woody Allen and precious-few other exceptions, I haven't watched anything fictional in years and years.

'Kay, I'm just back from seein' it in IMAX. Observations:

The cutting's like MTV on amphetamines. rolleyes

If you've never played on stage in a rock band, this is a very good representation of what it's like.

It's a master class in hook-writing and the "fine art of guitar-weaving".

The energy Jagger displays is astounding, for a man of that age (hell, even for a man of my age lol).

Courtney, from Survivor: China is in the front row. I believe Bruce Willis is in the audience, as well.

Martin Scorsese? Still a douche. razz

I have NEVER understood the appeal of THE Rolling Stones, I am continue to be amaze how Mick Jagger gets so much praise for his tuneless singing and his awful dancing.

Yeah, especially in the IMAX format, makes me nauseous just thinking about it.
