The Greatest Gigs Ever?? MSN had an article on their front page today...the twelve greatest gigs ever, which were as follows:-
1. The Doors – The Roundhouse 1968 2. Bob Dylan – Manchester Free Trade Hall 1966 3. Jimi Hendrix – Wodstock 1969 4. Bob Marley – Lyceum 1975 5. Muse – Wembley 2007 6. Nirvana – Reading 1992 7. Orbital – Glastonbury 1994 8. Sex Pistols – Manchester Free Trade Hall 1976 9. Queen – Live Aid 1985 10. Radiohead – Glastonbury 1997 11. The Stone Roses – Brixton Academy 1995 12. Led Zepplin – Madison Square Garden 1973 A huge British bias here unfortunately. And were Muse really that good at Wembley last year? Must admit, I don't really know any of their stuff. From a Prince point of view, trying to nail down his best ever gig is tough. I could name a few from last summer O2 stand but for sentimental reasons having actually been there in person But I'd have to plump for:- - Prince - Super Bowl XLI Dolphin Stadium 2007 The perfect set, the rain soaked atmosphere, the gig that finally got Prince back into mainstream popularity (possibly). I'd also have to aid:- - Bruce Springsteen - Hammersmith Odeon 1975 - Pink Floyd - Live 8 2005 www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site! | |
