For Beyoncé and Jay-Z, April showers brought flowers – and a possible wedding. On a rainy Friday in New York City, crews delivered floral arrangements, candelabras and a tent into Jay-Z's Tribeca apartment building.

The wedding buzz began when the couple went to get a marriage license at a village hall in Scarsdale, N.Y., on Tuesday. "It's [happening] tonight," says a source. "A lot of their friends are booking hotel rooms."

Early Friday morning, workers erected a white tent atop the building, where Jay-Z owns a penthouse apartment. Not long after, an SUV carrying what seemed to be AV equipment arrived, followed by deliveries of flowers and party rentals.

More evidence of an impending wedding? Likely guests have been gathering in New York. Producer Rodney Jerkins, who is working on Beyoncée's new album and is a friend of Jay-Z's, zipped into town a couple of days ago. Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child bandmates, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, are also here, coyly divulging in a YouTube video that they are camped out at a Manhattan hotel, giggling about "sisters" getting together.

And of course, there's Jay-Z, who reportedly hopped a flight from Boston, where he performed last night, to New York this morning.

Friends of the couple say they are very eager for the nuptials to happen. "It's about time," says producer Dallas Austin. "I think it's great that they're getting married."

Isn't this suppose to be on YouTube somewhere? Well, that's what I heard on the radio coming in this morning, haven't had an opportunity to find out.

TMZ is live streaming what appears to be... people standing in the street.

Why are they in such a hurry to get married? Is Beyonka pregnant by any chance I wonder?

Once again it must be a very slow news day.

Anyway, here's a timeline so far :

After six years of dating and a thousand rumors of their wedding later, Jay-Z and his lady love Beyonce will finally make it official sometime this evening in New York City.

The Insider has found out that the intimate event, being held for about 30 of the couple's closest friends and family-- including Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin, and fellow Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, is going down in the Tribeca section of Manhattan. The theme is white and the number four, a shared birthday number between Jay-Z and Beyonce.

Also, there has been a flower delivery of orchids delivered to the apartment building where the wedding party is being held. On Tuesday it was revealed that the couple got a marriage license.

UPDATE: TMZ is reporting that Tina Knowles, Beyonce's mom, arrived at the apartment building at aproximately 5:47 p.m. ET. She was dressed casually and was wearing sunglasses. OK! can report that several black Escalades have been entering the building as well.

A limo driver confirms, "The wedding is definitely happening today."

At aproximately 7:00 p.m ET, family and celebrity friends of the couple begin to arrive at the TriBeca apartment building.

Arrivals Timeline:

7:01 p.m. ET, Rumor has it that Jay-Z is on his way over to the TriBeca apartment building. An Escalade carrying a group of older women, looking to be family members and wearing white sequined outfits arrived shortly afterwards.


7:38 p.m. ET, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child arrived together in a black Escalade. The two were stopped in traffic for about five minutes, and quickly used an umbrella to try and hide their faces. Too late ladies! We saw you!

7:46 p.m. ET, Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin arrive. Gwyneth is wearing a white billowing dress and Chris is in his staple baseball cap. The couple is good friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce.

7:58 p.m. ET, Matthew Knowles, Beyonce's dad, arrives wearing slacks and a suit jacket.
