I wish I knew if I was going to be back in IL by then. I'm planning to, but the airline I'm flying filed for bankruptcy yesterday and all flights are cancelled. Plus, I've already moved it back 3 times now anyway "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Yeah, I got mine through the Jam presale and they were second-row loge tix. I was saying on the George Michael thread last night how frustrating it is to buy tix now. And my goodness, the convenience charges!!! $10+ per ticket then there was another $4+ per ticket for something else. I got use to fan club tix for my favorite acts where the cost was just the face value and that's it. This whole concert ticket industry is burnt up. They really need to do something about it. And TM has the nerve to offer ticket insurance at $6 per ticket? WTF!? perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I just heard that ATA was the cheapest way to get there. That might've been the problem That's crazy about ATA. I have been watching it on the news that last two mornings. Yesterday was insane the way people showed up at Midway clueless to the fact that the company shut down, virtually leaving them stranded. And I heard that folks can't get their money back! That is shameful! perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

That is shameful! Uh oh. I haven't been following it at all, except the email they sent me yesterday morning basically telling me to figure it out myself. People aren't getting their money back? I knew those that paid with cash or check were probably shit out of luck, because they have to go through the bankruptcy court, but I heard people with credit card purchases could probably get money back. Either way, it's the company's money, so I'm not going to sweat it TOO much. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran

Either way, it's the company's money, so I'm not going to sweat it TOO much. Good thing it's on the company. Yeah, the consensus seems to be that the only thing someone who paid with a credit card can do is dispute the charge and try to get the credit card company to refund the money. However, experts say that might be difficult because it is hard to dispute a charge that you authorized and paid the bill for, especially months in advance. So if ATA immediately completed the transaction, it might be a rough road for folks getting some money back. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

Thats the same shit I was thinking when did you get yours tickets? during the presale or after? I got main floor tickets for the first show but I'm not that close to the stage . Ivy said my tickets were decent. I've never been to the Chicago Theater.
